April Parms Jones is a fourth generation Akronite. She is passionate about community gardens, farmer markets and creating a reasonably priced food system. Having expertise in the role of growing food and in the human elements of shifting the food system, a graduate of the University of Akron, from the Lebron James Family Foundation School of Education. She is a facilitator, writer, public speaker, national and international consultant, blogger, recipe developer, book reviewer, event planner and more. She contributes content to her blog Frolicking Americana, and to national and international magazines including Mother Earth, Country Lore, The Natural Farmer, Grit, Growing for Market, Ark Republic, Farm and Diary, Ecoparent Magazine, Growers and Co., Farmers Market Coalition writer, The Agrarian Trust, Cornucopia Institute and Farmer’s Market Coalition, and is an Emerging Leader in food and agriculture nominee.
